Bishop Robert G. Larkin

March 17, 1964 -February 3, 2020

     Bishop Robert G. Larkin, 78, was ushered into Heaven by the Lord's angels on Friday, September 10, 2021 in Lancaster. He was the husband of the late   Nancy Y. (Fogle) Larkin, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage. 

Born on March 2, 1943 in York to the late Pauline (Markey) and Guy Larkin, Sr. 

     He was the Bishop of Christ Chapel International Ministries Church in Red Lion. He and Nancy were very active in Christ Chapel International Ministries in Kenya, East Africa since 1996. Together they founded four churches in Africa, and ministered to unwed mothers and orphans. Bishop Larkin was known as a jack of all trades, master of many and an all around great guy who loved many. He was a great musician who also enjoyed hunting and fishing. 

     Bishop Larkin leaves to cherish his memory, children, Troy R. Larkin (Kristin) of Florida, Trinda M. Snyder of Red Lion, Trevor R. Larkin (Donna) of York and Meghann M. Larkin of Red Lion; siblings, Guy Larkin Jr., Lonnie Larkin and Jackie Atland; grandchildren, Brittany Larkin, Brooks Larkin and Bryce (Kalainia) Larkin, Kristin (Nasser) Woodlock, Nicole Newman, Adam (Lindsay) Larkin, Jacob Larkin, Tyler Larkin, Tanner Jackson, Hunter Jackson, Elizabeth Craley; great-grandchildren, Tyson Duer, Chloe Scott, Baby Jackson and Baby Larkin on the way, Carmen Moctezuma, Joshe Moctezuma, Javier Moctezuma, Mason McKim, Madison McKim, Quinlyn Newman, Henry Guy Larkin, Charli Grace Larkin and Aaliyah Hill; and a host of close family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Carson Larkin and Donald Larkin.

     A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 11 a.m. at New Fairview Church of the Brethren, 1873 New Fairview Church Rd, York with Rev. Troy Larkin officiating. A viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. - 11 a.m. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers please consider making a memorial contribution to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield VA 22116. Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the arrangements.
