Cynthia L. Matthews, 67, entered into the arms of the Lord on July 2, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. Born on October 21, 1953 in Lancaster to the late Elizabeth (Williams) Wright and George Matthews and step-father, Herman Wright.

     Cynthia leaves to cherish her memory, daughter, Monique Banks; sister, Ida Matthews; godson, Shaquille Peterson; grandchildren, Deshaun Ford, Sierra Ford and Brenden Ford; and a host of cousin, nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Matthews and James Williams. 

     A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, July 9, 2021 at 6 p.m. at Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc. 822 E. Market St, York. Pastor Adrian Boxley will be officiating the service. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the arrangements.
