A'Quil K. Bailey, 30, passed away February 22, 2026. He was the spouse of Brittney Hoff. Born in York, PA on September 22, 1995, he was the son of Tina Bailey and Samuel Wright and step son of Troy Kennedy and Debbie Kennedy.
Aquil leaves to cherish his memory in addition to his spouse and parents, sons, A'Quil Bailey Jr, A'Zjeir Bailey, and A'Nonyx Bailey; daughter, A'Cenzia Bailey; brothers, Tayzhan Kennedy, Shaiquil Kennedy, Tayshawn Wright, Daiquawn Wright and Shawn Wright; sisters, Heaven Wright, Sanea Wright and Vee Wilson; grandparents, Yvonne Howard and Carl Bailey; four nieces; two nephews; aunts, Haveanel Saxton, Andrene Creary, Candy Morrison and Matilda Smith; great Aunts, Hazel Anderson, Annmarine Chin, Diane Chin and Lavern Chin; uncles, Jeff Smith, Mathew Henry, Ray Stewart, Anthony Bailey and Michael Bailey; and a host of cousins. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Valrie Johnson, Samuel Wright Sr, Elaine Kennedy and Adam Kennedy; great grandmother, Olga Jones; uncles, Floyd Wright, Lamont Kennedy and Roger Kennedy; and aunt, Georgia Chin.
A'Quil enjoyed watching football and baseball, often placing bets on his favorite teams. A'Quil last worked at Tate Flooring LLC in Dallastown, PA. At home, some of A'Quil's happiest moments were spent playing tea cups with his daughter, Mario Bros games with his sons, and Call of Duty with friends. Music was always a part of his life. He loved listening to oldies and Jamaican music, which brought him comfort and joy.
A'Quil was a true family man, devoted wholeheartedly to those he loved. He showed up for everyone without expectation, always placing family time above all else. His greatest passion in life was being a father, a role he embraced with pride, patience and unconditional love. A'Quil was an incredible father, especially to his daughter, his baby girl whom he adored and happily spoiled saying he simply couldn't say no to her. His love was pure, genuine and deeply felt. Though he was not a social person, he was always present and available for family, cherishing the quiet moments together that meant the most to him.
A viewing will be held Friday, March 6, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Commandment Church, 1000 S. Queen Street York, PA. The service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor James DeCostar officiating. Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the arrangements.
