Abraham Green, affectionately know as Pa Pa, Hambone and Bo, passed away at his home in York, PA on February 10, 2025 at the age of 85. He was born in Rockingham, NC on September 9, 1939, to the late Willie and Esther Green. As a youth, he completed his education in the Richmond County, NC school system, then as an adult relocated to Pennsylvania. Abraham married his best friend and love of his life, the late Catherine J. Robinson, and together they raised a blended family full of sons and daughters.
Abraham worked as a Farm Worker and at a Sawmill in North Carolina before relocating to York, PA where he retired as a Hertz Delivery Truck Driver. He was a true southern man who loved his family and a friendly card game of Spades, Black Jack or Tonk. He valued spending time with loved ones who adored is sense of humor, comedic stories and warm spirit.
Abraham is survived by his sister, Virginia Green-Harrison and predeceased by his siblings, Willie Green II, Alexander Green, Jennie Green Melvin and Joe Nathan Green. Children, Alonzo, Steven, Davina, Abraham Lamont, Shakeish, Nicole, Yolanda, Danyell, Cecily, Raheem, Frank, Earl, Ralph and George. Predeceased by his children, Richard, Kahseem, Ronnie and Patricia. Brother-in-laws, Eugene, Charles, Jessie and Johnny Lee. Abraham also had a host of beautiful grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousin, family and friends who loved him dearly.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2025 from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc. The service will begin at 12:00 p.m. with Dr. Stephanie Pritchard officiating.
