Ashok V. Shrotriya, 83, entered into rest on June 20, 2023 in York with his wife by his side. He was the loving husband of Dipali Shrotriya.
Born on May 31, 1940 in Pune, India, he was the son of the late Vishwanath Shrotriya and Vinita Shrotriya. He was the oldest of four children and was preceded in death by his younger brother Vikram
Ashok worked as a mechanical engineer for Harley Davidson.As an engineer he was passionate about manufacturing, purchasing and supply chain management. He was an avid photographer and collector of antique cameras, and a voracious reader of western novels and books about wildlife from his native India. He was a mentor and friend to many throughout every step of his career. As a father, he was immensely proud that both his children chose careers in service to the public.
In addition to his wife, Dipali, Ashok leaves to cherish his memory, two children, Sameer A. Shrotriya of Washington DC and Gauri (Kirk) Shrotriya Locker of Seattle WA; two sisters, Shailaja (Suresh) Supekar of Washington DC and Vasundhara Edgaonkar of Bhopal, India; and a host of family and friends.
