Bonnie J. Willis, 81, passed away May 9, 2026 at home surrounded by her family. Born in Washington, DC on October 5, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy Marie Curry and James Bernard Kline Sr.

Bonnie leaves to cherish her memory, children, Michele Russ and longtime companion Melissa of York, PA, John N. Russ Jr. and wife Esther of San Diego, CA, Melanie Thurston and husband Whitelaw of Port Saint Lucie, FL, Dwayne Willis and longtime companion Joanna of El Cajon, CA; grandchildren, Melissa Russ, Michael Russ, John Brenner III, Christopher Brenner Sr., Katrina Russ, Steven Crocker, John Russ III, Scott Gudde, Trystan Willis, Alexis Willis and Damian Willis; 15 great grandchildren; sister, Patricia Bass and longtime companion Pete of Pawleys Island, SC and multiple nieces, nephew and cousins. Bonnie was preceded in death by brothers, James Kline, Jr and Eugene Kline both of Maryland.
