Chad M. Sterner, 53, passed away August 6, 2025. He was the husband of Lillian Sterner. Born in Dover, Delaware on February 3, 1972, he was the son of Jim and Karen Richie.

Chad leaves to cherish his memory, in addition to his wife, Lillian, children, Cierra Andrews, Chasity Sterner, Annette Linares, Jamar Hichman Jr and Kyeeniah Linares; grandchildren, Jayden Sterner, Jayleaha Sterner, Sevynn Andrews, Ja'Nye Hickman, Justin Bolden, Alora Minter, Jovian Simmons, Yamara Hickman and Edward Minter; brothers, Paul Sterner and wife Stacia Sterner, Antwan Richie and Rev. Chad Spenkle and wife, Michelle Spenkle; sister, Mary Givens; and Godson, Michael Baskerville. He was preceded in death by daughter, Caylah Sterner; and grandson Davon Allensworth.

Chad enjoyed riding on the tractor, cutting grass while enjoying an ice cold Coors Light. He had a passion for driving trucks, and did so for over 30 years. His trucks had to be clean. Chad loved spending time with his family, cooking on the grill and playing with his grandchildren. His fur babies, Sparkle, Skyee and Lexi miss him dearly. Chad loved his wife and found the expression "Happy wife, happy life" to be true and something he strived for. He will be deeply missed by his family.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025 at Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc. The viewing will be from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. The service will begin at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Chad Spenkle officiating.
