Charles Adam Thomas also known as “Butch”, son of Henry and Kathleen Gelzer was called home on Wednesday, February 2nd, 2022.
He leaves behind his companion Darlene Smith, 2 children Bianca and James Thomas, 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Butch graduated from William Penn Senior High School and went on to serve his country in the US Military. He retired from York County Prison as a correction officer. Butch was known for his love of sports and he favored the Steelers and New York Yankees. Butch will be joining his parents, sister and two brothers, as well as beloved daughter Charlene Jones.
A viewing will be held from 10 am to noon on Thursday, February 10th, 2022 at Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc. located at 822 E Market St, York PA, 17401. This will be followed by a celebration of life beginning at noon. Burial will take place immeidately after the service at Prospect Hill Cemtery.
