Donald D. Myers, 75, entered into rest on August 27, 2023, in York. He was the loving husband of the late Sally A. (Harlacher) Myers.
He was the son of the late Howard and Anna (Marks) Myers.
Donald worked for Paul L. Smith Roofing for 10 years, McCroy Distribution as a high lift driver for 17 years, Wyeth Laboratories for 7 years, and later retired after 4 years of working at Adhesive Research.
Donald was a member of the Zion Bible Church. He enjoyed playing church league basketball and softball for McCroys Distribution Center. He also took up Rock Steady Boxing with the Shrewsbury YMCA. Donald was also known for raising pot-belly pigs and guinea pigs. He also enjoyed gardening and caring for his fruit trees.
Donald leaves to cherish his memory, daughters, Monica Gladfelter and husband Gregory and Tricia Hoke and husband Roy; grandchildren, Mariah Nagel and husband, Curtis, Carter Gladfelter, Gabrielle Smeltzer, Bridget Smeltzer, and Bryce Smeltzer; siblings, Jacob Myers and Reda Adams and husband Garth; and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Nelson Myers, and his wife Dorcas Myers; sister-in-law, Rose Myers.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at 11 a.m. Zion Bible Church, 1550 N. East St., York with Pastor Gary Pfleegor officiating. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial will take place immediately after the service at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers please consider making donations to Zion Bible Church. Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the arrangements.
