Evelyn L. Christine, 90, passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 10, 2026. Born April 25, 1935 in York, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Carrie Stough.

Evelyn retired from Roadhouse Restaurant. She carried a lifelong love for stock car racing, a passion that began in her younger years when she would eagerly attend races and feel the thrill of the engines and the crowd. Those memories stayed close to her heart and were stories she loved to share. She also found great enjoyment in browsing flea markets and spending afternoons shopping, always on the lookout for a special find or a good bargain. Above all, she treasured every moment with her grandchildren. Whether it was a simple outing or just time spent together, she embraced anything that brought her closer to them. Her greatest happiness came from those shared experiences, and the love she gave so freely will be remembered always. She will be sadly missed.

Evelyn leaves many behind to cherish her memory including, her children, Wendy Gingerich (York), Melody Lookingbill (Thomasville); grandchildren, Alana Brent, Sherry Missinger, Steven Gingerich, Jack Hilbert, Jr., Becky Boyer, Christine Chaluisan, Nicole Everly, Kala Christine; siblings, Pamela Staub (Dover), and the late Nancy Emig (York); lots of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; her dog Riley and cat Molly. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Richard Christine, Jr. (Dover), Diana Alden (York), and Gail Baldwin (York).
