George F. Beck, 78, entered into rest on April 13, 2023, at his home. He was the loving husband of Mary L. (Warner) Beck.
Born on August 26, 1944, in York, he was the son of the late John Beck, Sr. George retired from York Wall Coverings after 22 years of service. Over the years he raised Netherland Dwarf Rabbits and showed them at the York Fair.
George enjoyed eating breakfast at West Manchester Diner. He loved tending to his lawn and flower beds. He was known for helping his neighbors during snow storms by snow-blowing their sidewalks and driveways. George loved eating cherry pie, Rice Krispies cereal, and drinking Pepsi.
In addition to his wife, Mary, George leaves to cherish his memory, his step-son, David Holcomb, Jr.; sister, Donna Neff (Ted); grandchildren, Emily Holcomb, Tyler McClane (Octavia) and Gavin McClane; great-grandsons, Jacoby and Jayce McClane; and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Melissa McClane, and two brothers, John (Jack) Beck, Jr. and Gary Beck.
