Janet A. Vazquez, 79, passed away April 15, 2026. Born in Pottsville, PA on July 21, 1946, she was the daughter of the late William W. and Lorretta R.(Shollenberger) Ort.

Janet leaves to cherish her memory, children, Dan Ort-Patrick (Brian), Belinda Vazquez and James G. Vazquez (Lori); grandchildren, Tavon Vazquez, Hailey Vazquez, Brianna Vazquez, Jia DiDio-Vazquez, Tessa DiDio-Vazquez, Ellianna Vazquez, Carlos Ort-Patrick and RJ Ort-Patrick; siblings, Linda Pabon (Mike), Susan Ort-Hitz and Bill Ort (Tammy); her best friend, Phyllis Raife; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by siblings, Patricia Forsyth (Robert) and Sandra Canterbury.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc. The service will begin at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Janet's memory to Wellspan York Cancer Center or St. Jude's.
