John E. Ruth, Jr., 87, entered into rest on April 30, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Eileen Ruth.
Born on October 31, 1934 in York to the late Gladys H. (Klinedinst) and John E. Ruth, Sr. John honorably served his country as a member of the United States Navy. He worked as a tool and die maker for over 30 years at Berg Electronics. He also worked for Manheim Auto as a driver. John was an avid bowler. He bowled for over 40 years at Colony Park North.
In addition to his wife; John leaves to cherish his memory; sons, Jim Ruth, John Ruth III, Chas Ruth and Mike Ruth; daughter, Shanna Mae Wonder; fifteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sister, Janet Toomey; and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Ruth.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Manchester Assembly of God, 4115 Board Rd, Manchester Pa. Reverend Thomas A. Gilman will be officiating. Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the arrangements.
