John F. Eckenrode, 83, entered into eternal rest Saturday October 11, 2025 at home. Born on March 27, 1942 in York, PA. He is the son of the late Chester Eckenrode and Beatrice Gemmill.
After graduating from York Catholic High School. He enlisted in the Air Force where he proudly served for 4 years as an A.P. After being honorably discharged, John worked at Campbell Chain until he retired. He spent his retirement years enjoying his family & grandchildren.
John is survived by his wife Patricia; his daughters Jean Delp & husband Don, and Melissa Eckenrode; grandchildren, Nicholle Koppenhaver & husband Brandon, Rebecah Solow & husband Ryan ,Jesse Delp Cyle Barnhart and wife Christine; great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Zeke, Alli, Bella, Carter. John was preceded in death by Grandson Brandon Koppenhaver, Jr.
A celebration of life will be held October 18, 2025 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Hellam VFW Post 7045, 341 Yorkana Rd, Yorkana, PA 17406.
