John S. McFarland, 68, entered into rest on March 11, 2024, at his home. Born on June 24, 1955, in Columbia, PA, he was the son of Sandra F. (White) Deitrick and the late Larry C. Deitrick. John loved watching football and basketball. He also enjoyed listening to music and playing games with his family.
In addition to his mom, John leaves to cherish his memory, a son, Travis McFarland; granddaughter, Eleanor McFarland; sisters, Joni McKinley (Barry), Lori Miller (Chris), and Danielle Runkle (Shawn); brothers, Jeff McFarland (Wendy), Matt Deitrick (Jen) and Chris Deitrick (Brittany); and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Wayne Deitrick.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held privately.
