Jonathan Scott Potts, 60, took his last breath February 13, 2026 surrounded by love and family. He was the husband of Adrienne Potts. Born on July 11, 1965 in York, PA, he was the son of the late John and Carol Potts.
Scott served for many years as a firefighter at Station 6, taking pride in his work and the brotherhood of the firehouse. Outside of work, he was an avid hunter, fisherman and camper who valued time outdoors. He enjoyed poker nights with friends. A devoted film buff, he loved both comedy and horror. Scott was an American Legion Sons leader and member. He was a motorcycle rider and an ordained minister. Scott spent his life going on endless side quests. You never knew what new mischief, job title or hobby you would suddenly hear about.
Anyone who knew Scott knows how absolutely fitting it is that he held on until Friday the 13th. It was his last big joke. Scott was a giant jokester. It didn't matter how serious something was or how bad your day was going, he had a joke. Scott cherished many roles in his life, but none brought him greater pride or joy than being a devoted Pappy to his three beloved granddaughters, whose laughter, hugs and bright spirits filled his heart with immeasurable love.
Scott leaves to cherish his memory, in addition to his wife, Adrienne, daughter, Brianna Potts Martin and husband Jared; grandchildren, Lilly Martin, Ashlyn Martin and Freya Martin; and many friends and loved ones.
