Joseph W. James, 64, passed away September 27, 2025. Born on January 21, 1961 in Mount Holly, NJ, he was the son of the late Joseph Corcoran and Rosalie (Lavonis) James.

Joseph was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. He enjoyed baseball, coin collection and beer making. Joe was a regular at a number of establishments in York. He will be greatly missed.

Joseph leaves to cherish his memory daughter, Shanna James and husband; granddaughter, Elizabeth Bishop; siblings, Angela James, Tom James, Will James and Teresa Corcoran; and uncle, William Lavonis. He was preceded in death by brother, Michael Corcoran.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc. The visitation will be from 11:00-12:00 p.m. The service will begin at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Ricky McCarl officiating.
