Keith Douglas Washington, 53 was called to Heaven on Sunday, February 12, 2023. He was the son of the late Charles and Hannah (Dolly) Johnson Washington. Keith was born in York on January 12, 1970. Keith attended York Vo-Tech School. He proudly earned his GED from William Penn Senior High School. In pursuit of a college degree, Keith took classes from Temple University, Millersville University, Penn State York, York College of Pennsylvania, and HAAC.
Keith was a Philadelphia sports fanatic. He enjoyed attending and watching games that involved the Eagles, 76ers, and the Phillies with his mom and friend Brian Parker. He enjoyed horror and science fiction movies, eating hard shell crabs, going on cruises, and spending holidays with his family. His hobbies were mixing records and playing and challenging his nephews at video games.
Keith often referred to himself as his sisters’ big baby brother. Keith’s laughter and presence will surely be missed by his family.
Keith leaves to cherish his memory two sisters, Carmen Frost and husband Robert and Wanda Kennard. Six nephews Justin, Kevin Jr., Jordan, Richard, Tavaun, and Keeshon; a niece Shaleeta and 3 great nieces Alianna, Kevina, and Aubrey; and family friend Brian Parker. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers James Washington and Kevin Washington Sr.; maternal grandparents Marshall and Mary Harris Johnson; and paternal grandparents Charles and Alberta Reid Washington.
Funeral Services will be private. Interment will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York. Gladfelter Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
