Lloyd Douglas Marchant, Jr., 78, of York, passed away September 12, 2025. He was the husband of Marlene Ann (McCleary) Marchant. Born in Detroit, Michigan on February 8, 1947, he was the son of the late Lloyd D. and Kathleen E. Marchant, Sr.
Lloyd attended Grace Baptist Church of York for 22 years. He enjoyed singing solos in the church and photography. Lloyd had a passion for helping others. He served several ministries helping the homeless and those in need. He worked hard to find those in need jobs, food, clothing and a place to live. He will be greatly missed.
Lloyd leaves to cherish his memory, in addition to his wife, Marlene, son, Daniel L. Marchant and wife Brandi; and grandchildren, Patrick and Kathleen.
A viewing will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025 from 10 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church. The service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Steven Warner officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Salem Community Cemetery. Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the arrangements.
