Lorna J. Miller, 65, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 8th, 2022. Born in York, PA on July 4th, 1956 she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Betty ( Zink ) Frederick. Lorna was the loving wife of Terry Miller Sr. with whom she shared 41 years of marriage. She was a selfless and dedicated mother who always put her family first. She was such a forgiving and caring person, and she was like everyone’s second mom. Lorna spent many years as a deli clerk at Shurfine markets. She also spent many wonderful years as a deli clerk at Hakes grocery store, which then changed into Dottie’s Family Market. In her free time she enjoyed walking, camping, gardening, crocheting, cooking, baking, and taking care of her family. She loved to dance and sing with her grandchildren and could often be found out in the swimming pool, even in chilly weather.
In addition to her husband, Terry, Lorna leaves to cherish her memory four children, Sabrina Brinig, Jennifer Miller, Terry Miller Jr., and Sherri Miller. Twelve grandchildren, Tre’ Brinig, Kyle Brinig, Destinee Brinig, Matthew Miller, Andrew Topper, Savannah Lewis, Aleah Cline, Terry Bankert, Jaxon Miller, Brayden Miller, Sophia Taylor, and Naya Taylor. One great granddaughter, Violet Brinig.
Four siblings, Deborah (Glenn) Wallick, Barry (Rebecca) Frederick, Terry (Heather) Frederick, and Jacob “Billy” (Kelly) Frederick Jr. Uncle Ted Brinson, Foster mom Edie Smith, Foster Mom Gladys Jacobs, Sister in laws Kathy Topper and Christine Miller. Brother in law Ray (Helen) Miller, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, loved ones, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved sister and brother in law, Brenda and William Gardner. Brother in laws Dwight Miller and Larry Miller, Mother in law Violet Louise Miller, Father in law Ralph Michael Miller, Niece Billie Jo Taylor “ Bee Jay”, and Nephews Jeffrey Miller Jr. and William Joseph Frederick “Bubba.”
The family would like to extend a special shout out to Hospice Community Care and Bonnie Rogers for everything they did to help out with Lorna’s end of life care.
Lorna will be deeply missed by her loved ones and all that were blessed to know her. She will forever be in all of our hearts.
A viewing will be held at Gladfelter Funeral Home,inc. on Friday, March 18th, 2022 from 11:00am-1:00pm. Burial will immediately follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery.
