York, PA - We celebrate the life and legacy of Robert E. “Chuckie” Richardson, 75, who entered into eternal rest on June 6, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 7, 1950, in York, Pennsylvania, Robert was the son of the late Doris M. Deshields and Jordan E. Richardson, Sr. He received his education in the York City School District and, driven by a desire to serve his country, proudly joined the United States Marine Corps upon graduation.

After completing his military service, Robert worked diligently as a laborer for both York Casket and American Chain, demonstrating a strong work ethic throughout his career. A lifelong and passionate Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Robert proudly wore the black and gold. Sundays were sacred—echoing with boisterous cheers, animated commentary, and unwavering support for his team. Through every season, win or lose, his devotion never wavered, a true testament to his loyal and spirited nature. Away from the excitement of the game, Robert found tranquility in fishing, casting his line in quiet reflection. His evenings often ended just the way he liked—settled in with a classic Western movie, drawn to the grit, honor, and
heroism that mirrored his own enduring spirit. Robert leaves behind a legacy of love and memories. He is survived by his stepchildren, Sam and Nicole Stump; his siblings, Brenda (Richardson) Johnson, Larry Richardson, Nancy Jones, Kimberly Brown, Joanne, and Todd Rivera; along with many treasured grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members. His life was enriched by dear friends, especially Annie Spellman, his devoted companion, and Debra Spellman, his compassionate caregiver during his final days.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved daughters Robin and Doris Richardson, and his brothers Jordan E. “Clabber” Richardson, Jr., and Joseph “Fatboy” Richardson. A Celebration of Life Reception will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 4 p.m. at American Legion Post 127, 57 W. Cottage Place, York, PA 17401. The family deeply appreciates your prayers, love, and expressions of sympathy during this time of remembrance.
