Robert L. Kennedy, Sr., 87, passed away September 17, 2024. He was the loving husband of Judy Kennedy. Born on August 3, 1937 in Gouverneur, NY, he was the son of the late Glenn E. and Bertha E. Kennedy, Sr.
Robert retired from the City of York Fire Department where he served as Lieutenant. He also worked at the York Housing Authority, as an inspector, for 15 years. He was a member of York Church of Christ. Robert enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as playing golf. He will be greatly missed by his family.
In addition to his wife, Judy, Robert leaves to cherish his memory his son, Robert L. Kennedy, Jr. and wife, Kristie; two brothers, Timothy Kennedy and Jack Kennedy; and sister, Sharon Hoffman. He was preceded in death by brothers, Gary Kennedy, Shane Kennedy and Glenn Kennedy.
A Grave Side Service will be held on October 5, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Suburban Memorial Gardens, 3875 Bull Road Dover, Pa 17315. The Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the arrangements.
