Shannon E. Smith, 54, passed away October 10, 2026. He was the husband of Anita Smith. Born in York, PA on June 10, 1972, he was the son of Marguerite Smith and the late Carl Smith.

Shannon was a devoted family man who treasured the time he spent with his wife, children and grandchildren. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and found peace and happiness in the great outdoors. He was a member of the Yorkanna Game and Gun Club.

Shannon's love of the outdoors extended beyond his personal interests and into his life's work as the owner of a landscaping company. He took pride in his work and valued his clients and the relationships he built with them. Though he will be greatly missed, his legacy will live on through the people he loved most.

Shannon leaves to cherish his memory, in addition to his wife, Anita and mother, Marguerite, daughter, Swaydlin Howard and husband Garrett; son, Sabastain Smith and wife Faith; grandchildren, Azarrah Howard, Shelbi Smith, Adrian Howard, Sunni Smith, Jaxson Lehr and Lexi Cox; and sisters, Heather Smith and Peggy Campbell. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl and brother, Butchy Smith.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at Family of God Community Church, 147 1st avenue Red Lion, PA 17356. The visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. and the service will begin at 11:00 a.m.
