Susan E. Rife, 80, passed away May 27, 2024. She was the wife of the late Wilbur Rife. Born in York, Pa on October 14, 1943, Susan was the daughter of the late Richard and Alice (Hively) Legore.
Susan graduated from York High in 1961. She retired from Wexco. Susan enjoyed her time helping to start and work at the Village Library in Jacobus. She also loved to garden. Her greatest joys were her children and her cats.
Susan leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Jason Roberts of Missoula, MT and Erin Roberts of Gunnison, CO; step son, Britt Rife and wife Effie of Arnold, MD; step-grandchildren, Phoebe and Thalia; sister, Judy Schwartz of Gloucester, VA; two nieces and four nephews. Susan was preceded in death by siblings Sandy Kopp and Scott Legore.
A special Thank You to Cancer Care of York for the excellent care Susan received. There will no public or private services. Susan was a nice person and wanted to be remembered that way. The Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with he arrangements.
