In Loving Memory of Wayne Dellard Morris, Celebrating a Life Well-Lived
Wayne Dellard Morris, aged 74, of Shrewsbury, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at York Hospital with his loved ones by his side. Born in Baltimore, Maryland.
Wayne's life was defined by his dedication to family, hard work, and an adventurous spirit. After graduating from Mervo Vocational Technical High School in 1971, Wayne embarked on a career as a Farm Operations Manager. He worked on several of Maryland's most notable Thoroughbred horse farms, including Merryman's Farm, Ross Valley Farm, Sagamore Farm, Belmont Farm and Pimlico Race Track. Outside his professional pursuits, Wayne found joy in simple pleasures. He was an avid flea market flipper, often searching for auctions and thrift stores for hidden gems and sharing these finds at local markets. Wayne's enthusiasm for discovery inspired those around him to see the value in the unexpected. He also cherished time spent with family and friends, especially on camping trips that created treasured memories. His involvement in the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) reflected his love of history and camaraderie, and he formed deep friendships at Strasburg Haus Apartments, where his laughter and silliness brightened the lives of many.
Wayne is survived by his devoted children, Lisa Dukes and Terra Morris; cherished grandchildren, Collin Dukes and Kayla Dukes; brother, Donn Morris; sister, Helen Baxter; aunt, Paula Johnson; uncle, Donn Ray; aunt, Beverly Ray; cousins, Jennifer Hart and Jayne Hart; niece, Kimberly Hildebrand and a wide circle of loving friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Leslie Irving Morris and Jeanne Marie Morris; grandparents, Margaret and Ernest Ray; and sister, Janet Morris.
Wayne will be remembered for his generosity, his playful spirit, and the way his goofy humor brought smiles to everyone around him. He filled every room with laughter, and his lightheartedness made even ordinary moments unforgettable. Those who knew him will forever cherish his joy and wit; his memory will live on in every story shared and every chuckle that echoes from the lives he touched.
A celebration of Wayne’s life will be held in the near future. Details will be shared once finalized, so family and friends may gather to honor and remember him.
