Preston Himes, 78, passed away December 6, 2021.  Born in York County on May 5, 1943, he was the son of the late William and Emma Himes. 

     Preston worked at York International for many years and honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps.  He was a hard worker and always provided for his family.  Preston was a member of the Hellam VFW and the Yorkana Hunting Club.  He was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing.  He will be deeply missed by his family.

     Preston leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Christopher Himes and Vince Himes; grandson, Seth Himes; great grandson, Isiah Himes; and a host of friends and family, as he was one of fifteen children.

      A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 12:00 noon.  A visitation will be held prior from 10:00 a.m. - 12 noon at the Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc., 822 E. Market Street York, Pa 17403.  Burial will immediately follow at Machpelah Cemetery in Yorkana.
