Robert Donald Glessner, 69, passed away March 9, 2021 in Colombia, South America. He was born December 10, 1951. He was the son of Robert G. Glessner and Dorothy Hoffmaster Glessner.

     He was a 1969 graduate of Central High School in York. He also graduated from Penn State, Shippensburg, Yale and Dickinson Law School. He worked for the Agency on Aging in York before becoming an attorney. He practiced law in York until his retirement. 

     He is survived by a brother, Kenneth Glessner (wife Karen) and a sister, Susan Glessner Knopp (husband Ronald). He is also survived by nephews, Jesse Knopp (wife Marian), Wayne Knopp (wife Juli), David Glessner (wife Cariana), Gregory Glessner; a niece, Nichole Smoker (husband Jason) and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew Travis Knopp.

     A funeral service will be held on September 10, 2021 at Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc. 822 E. Market St, York. The service will begin at 1 p.m. with Pastor Ronald Knopp, Robert's brother-in-law, officiating. Burial will take place at Prospect Hill Cemetery.
